Business-related data is sacred. Maintaining and optimizing the essential details of our business partners is a critical and never-ending task. Take addresses for example. Shipping and billing addresses of business partners are very dynamic. It is not uncommon that customers or vendors open new branches, move offices to different locations, etc. this is why SAP Business One allows you to update, delete, and add new addresses to business partners as much as needed. When updating an existing address of a business partner, everything is changeable. Even the address ID. If you allow it:
When selected, the “Address ID” of business partner addresses can be updated either manually via the user interface, or through the DI API. If you deselect this option, the “Address ID” field in the application cannot be edited and an update via the DI API will be blocked as well.
