As is already well known, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 laying down rules on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, is applicable in the Member States of the European Union as of today, 25 May 2018.
Under this regulation, SBSS Consulting has updated its Privacy Policy. So, although the way we treat your data has not been changed, you need to know this new document. The updated version of the Privacy Policy is available for viewing on our website (www.sbssconsulting.pt) and will be effective as of today, May 25, 2018. By continuing to use our services, you accept and agree to these changes.
The Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data under the responsibility of this company and does not dispense with the need for compliance by the applicant and beneficiary entities with Law 67/98, of October 26 and Regulation (EU ) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 in respect of all personal data processing operations under its responsibility.
For the normal development of the service rendering and software consulting activity, SBSS Consulting collects data from business entities - corporate or similar entities - from official and public sources as disclosed by them. Therefore, in relation to the data collected by SBSS Consulting, a general principle of freedom to collect and process public data, as opposed to the principle of prohibition which, according to the legislation on the protection of personal data, covers the collection of data individuals.
Considering, however, that legal persons are necessarily represented by natural persons, SBSS Consulting makes it a matter of treating the personal data collected with the utmost rigor and transparency, in strict compliance with the law. For this reason, within the scope of its personal data treatment policy, SBSS Consulting has implemented a rigorous set of measures:
- professional data are collected to the exact extent necessary for the management of the contractual relationship between SBSS Consulting and its customers and partners;
- the clause on the protection of personal data was included / changed in our contracts and commercial documents
- adequate technical means and procedures have been used to ensure the protection of the personal data provided to us, preventing unauthorized dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, treatment or access, or any other form of illegal treatment;
- an e-mail address (protecaodedados@sbssconsulting.pt) was created to ensure that any holder of personal data can exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition, erasure and portability of the respective data;

SBSS Consulting was present and represented Portugal in SAP Business One Innovation Summit event that took place in Barcelona on May 26th, 27th and 28th.
